A2Z Driving School offers road tests for teens and adults in the greater Charlotte area.

  • Teen Level 2 DMV Road Test

    Road Test for Teens with their Level 1 Learner's Permit who want to move to a Level 2 Limited Driver's License.

    ​Our Road Test service is for teens who meet the following requirements:

    • Have held a Limited Learner's Permit (Level 1), issued by NC DMV, for 9 months or more
    • Are at least 16 years old on the Day of the road test, but not yet 18 years old.
    • Have completed a driving log of 60 hours or more (10 at night).
    • A physical learner's permit must be with the student before the road test takes place. A copy or an electronic image is not acceptable.
    • A parent or legal guardian must be present before the test takes place.
    • The Test Fee is $150.
    • All road tests will be in the school's Vehicle for the Road Test

    If the test is unsuccessful, the student may retake it after 48 hours. A2Z will charge a fee of $75.00 for the second attempt.

    After passing the Road Test, A2Z Driving School will give you a document that you will take to the DMV to get your Level 2 License. This Document is valid for 180 days.

  • Adult Road Test

    Skip the long DMV lines and earn your license faster with A2Z Driving School's Road Test.

    Our Adult Road Test is designed for drivers age 18 and older who are ready to obtain a North Carolina Driver License. By completing the road test with A2Z Driving School. Adult applicants can avoid the inconvenience of scheduling a road test through the DMV. Once the test has been successfully completed, the applicant simply visits the DMV to submit the required documentation and have their license issued. Must have a NC learner's permit and printed copy of insurance at time of test.

  • Road Test Prep for Teens

    Gain more confidence behind the wheel and improve skills such as highway driving, parallel parking, and defensive driving for 2 hours. You will then get use the vehicle, and take the NC DMV road test.
